Many of our specially trained Katesgrove Young Interpreters know what it is like to arrive at a new school in a new country and they know how hard it is to learn a new language. This makes them the perfect mentors for any new arrivals - especially those new to English. Our team this year includes children in years 5 and 6 who can speak a range of different languages including Arabic, Konkani, Tamil, Polish, Hindi, Serbian, Bosnian, Telegu and Nepali. Their Young Interpreter skills can make those early weeks in a new school a little easier and more welcoming.
