Our PTA (Parents and Teachers Association) is known as Supporters of Katesgrove School (SOKS). All parents, teachers and carers are members automatically but we welcome other supporters to help out whether you are a neighbour, grandparent or a past student.

We have committee members who meet regularly to organise fundraising events. It is very informal and a great way to make friends. The money we raise is being spent on activities, events and treats for our children that they wouldn’t normally have had.

Over the 2024/25 school year, with 28 parent volunteers to help, we made a big difference to the school: escorting children to events, holding book sales (50p per book), serving refreshments at school plays, selling ice-creams over the warmer weeks and passing on second hand uniform.

The biggest event of the school year is our Summer Fayre. This was held after school on Tuesday 1st July 2025. It was a fabulous event, with all parents, carers and children welcome, including prospective families. We enjoyed traditional games (e.g. soak the teacher), food and refreshments (e.g. ice-creams and BBQ), henna, face-painting, a treasure hunt and stage shows. The bunting competition had over 200 entries and they were beautiful. Huge thank you to everyone who helped to make the day a huge success! We look forward to holding the Summer Fayre again - save the date: Tuesday 30th June 2026.
