Each Governor brings their own strengths and skills but all must have a willingness to contribute to the effective work of the team and to be committed to school improvement. To ensure that they make the best decisions for the school, they must be prepared to act with integrity, to question and to gain information through a variety of sources including visits to lessons and other activities, and ongoing Governor Training.

The term of office for a Governor is up to 4 years. Governors can be re-elected for further terms. When a vacancy for a Parent or Staff Governor arises, details are circulated to those eligible to stand for election or to vote.
