We like to keep busy in our classes and have lots of fun too. We enjoy looking at books and we are learning letters and sounds to help us with our reading and writing. We like to count, order numbers and solve problems with shapes, measures and patterns.  We always remember to say please and thank you! We have access to our lovely outside area all day and we enjoy climbing, building dens and riding our bikes. We dig in the sand and play in our water area. We also build with the large blocks and plant seeds and look for creepy crawlies!  Most importantly we remember to share our toys, take turns and be good friends to each other.

During our day we make lovely pictures and models, play games, investigate using our senses, make music and celebrate different events and festivals. We love using computers and other technology to help us with our learning. On Thursdays we take it in turns to go Forest School at Waterloo Woods. We like to have stories and songs before we go home after our busy school day.

A huge thank you to Minuteman Press and Letterworks Printers in Reading for coming to our aid and providing Katesgrove with paper for our Foundation Stage children. The children really enjoy mark making and writing. With cuts to school budgets we have been very lucky to have been supported by two local businesses.
